Collect a passage

1. Allow camera access and point your iPhone at a book or document.
2. In Selection mode, drag the green rectangle or resize its corners. Full screen recognizes the entire viewfinder.
3. When text is highlighted and Copy becomes available, tap Copy. The text is copied to your clipboard and saved in your collection.
4. Use the pause or play button beside Copy to stop or start live scanning.
5. Open the collection at the top to edit, delete, reorder, copy all or share your text.

Supported devices

Requires iOS 17 or later and an iPhone that supports Apple’s live text scanner. The feature is not available on every device. The app checks support and camera permissions and explains availability. Korean and English recognition are supported. The interface follows your device or app language setting.

Text is not recognized, or Copy is unavailable

Check live scanning and camera permission. Use a bright, flat document and keep text inside the selection. Wait briefly for recognition. Move closer for small print and reduce glare or movement. After moving the selection or resuming scanning, Copy waits for a new result.

Deleting collected text

Use a row’s trash button or swipe to delete an item. The bottom trash button deletes all items after confirmation. The app has no undo feature for deletion.

Are photos or an internet connection required?

The app does not take photos or save image files. Core OCR and collection features work without an internet connection. This website, GitHub support and any online sharing service you choose require a connection.

Missing saved text

Check whether you are using the same app on the same device, and whether the app was deleted or the device changed. The developer keeps no server copy and cannot remotely recover your text. The app does not provide its own sync. Check Apple’s device backup features for possible restoration.
